GARTON, Archie Ronald

Passed away November 26, 2006 at the Vernon Jubilee Hospital with his family by his side. Archie was born in Ste. Rose du Lac, Manitoba where he grew up on a farm and received his education before going to work in the mines in Red Lake, Ontario. Later he became a carpenter and onto his own construction company and concrete plant. He retired in 1996 and moved to Vernon, B.C. as a hobby farmer where he spent many enjoyable days golfing with his buddies.

He is predeceased by his mom Anne and Dad Cyril & one brother Albert. He is survived by

his wife Cleo and children Stacey (Robbie) Blackwood, Leone Strapp, Lloyd (Laurie) Eyjolfson, Leslee (Darren) Chinchilla, Debra (Elvis) Rosette, Janice (Roger) Rinas, Loa (Doug) Eyjolfson, 2 sisters Audrey Pritchard and Jean Geisel, both of Manitoba, 14 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. He will be sadly missed by his family and all his friends. Honouring Archie’s wishes, there will be no funeral. There will be a gathering for friends & family at the Eagles Hall from 2-4 pm on Dec. 10, 2006. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Hospice House or the charity of your choice.
