In loving memory ~

It is with profound sadness that we announce that Arnold passed away in the Vernon Jubilee Hospital after a brief illness, the very Hospital in which he was born 73 years ago. Arnold (Arnie) leaves behind his loving wife Patricia (Pat) to whom he was married for 52 years; one sister, Gladys

(Lawrence) Lopinski; nephew Rod and daughter Haylee; niece Rhonda (Jason) Domeij and

children, Brooklyn and Matthew; sisters-in-law Mary, Myrna (Randy) Allison and son Tanner, Myra Kopach (Gerald) and daughters Tanya and Kelsey-Rae, son James, and Teresa (Andy) Mault and daughter Tammy, son Craig and families. He also leaves Nicole (Peter) Rattray, daughter Amanda and son Liam, Michelle (Mark) Dressler and daughters Emily and Maria; nephew Kevin Witzke and their mother Judy Ray. He was preceded in death by his parents Wilhelm and Wanda and brother Gordon. Arnold will also be remembered by cousins Arthur (Uschi) Kalwis in Germany, Walter (Carol) Rahn of Prince George and numerous cousins, long time friends and neighbours.

Arnold spent his entire life working on the family orchard from a young age. He did not like school, so when his parents retired, he and his wife took over the orchard. He enjoyed this life despite the hard work involved to keep it going. During the winter months when work was slow in the orchard, he found employment off the farm. He worked as a fork- lift driver at the Vernon Fruit Union in Oyama, later known as Okanagan North Growers Co-op and then BC Tree Fruits in Winfield until 2010. One of Arnold's favorite past-times was fishing on Babine Lake with his late father-in-law John. He will always be fondly remembered for the many tractor rides that he gave to the family. May he rest in peace. In respecting Arnold's wishes, he was cremated and there will be no service held. As an expression of sympathy, those who wish to do so may send donations in memory of Arnold to the charity of your choice.

The family would like to thank the staff on 2 East at the Vernon Jubilee Hospital for the wonderful care he received. It was greatly appreciated.
