Oct 11, 1939 - Apr 4, 2018
It is with sadness in our hearts that we announce Arnold's passing on April 4, 2018 with his loving wife Margaret at his side, following a lengthy illness.

Arnold is lovingly remembered by his wife Margaret, his children: Greg and Debbie (Jason); his granddaughters: Shaelin, Austyn (Dale), Gennevieve, Alexandria and Natasha.

Predeceased by his brother Bernard in 2016, he is survived by his sisters: Helen, Elsa, and Selma (Fred), plus many nieces and nephews and their families. A special thank you to friends Ron and Sandy for their ongoing support.

Arnold was born in the Ukraine and immigrated to Canada with his parents and siblings after the war. The family settled in Vancouver. Arnold left Vancouver in the late 50's to work for the CPR and the NAR as telegraph lineman around Fort McMurray and area. He returned to Vancouver in the early 60's. It is there that he met and married Margaret and where their children were born.

Arnold enjoyed a 30+ year career with B.C. Tel which began in Richmond, BC with transfers to Burns Lake and then Kelowna until his retirement. Arnold loved his family dearly and especially enjoyed playing with his grandchildren. After retirement Arnold and Margaret enjoyed camping and travelled to many places in their RV.

In keeping with Arnold's wishes, he was cremated. A celebration of life will be held this summer.

Please consider a donation in Arnold's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. 200 - 1212 West Broadway, Vancouver, BC V6H 3V2€A special thank you to all the staff at the Polson Residential Care Facility in Vernon who cared for Arnold in his final months and days.
