Art was born on August 14th, 1931 in Medicine Hat, Alberta, the eldest child of Karl and Lydia Keber. He passed away in the North Okanagan Hospice on September 15th, 2019 at the age of 88 years.
Art will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Janet and her children, Lorrie Lee (Jim) Miller, Daryl (Lisa) Sommerfeld, Jennifer (Rob) Bouma and Daron Wierenga; three brothers, Al (Etoyle) Keber, Lorence Keber and Fred (Ester) Keber; numerous grandchildren, one great-granddaughter; as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family members. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Elsa on February 26th, 2008; and his only sister, Esther Houston on September 14th, 1979. Art was the founder of Aberdeen Machine and was known as a very generous and kind man - a true gentleman in every sense of the word.
In respecting Art's wishes, he was cremated and a private family service was held at the Coldstream Cemetery on Friday, September 20th, 2019 at 1 pm followed by a Reception in the Bethel Tea Room. As an expression of sympathy, those who wish to do so may send donations in memory of Art to the North Okanagan Hospice Society, 3506-27th Avenue, Vernon, B.C. V1T 1S4.
