Aubrey Holford


1917 – 2008

Aubrey Arnold Holford, at the age of 90 years, passed away August

5th, 2008 at Hospice House, Vernon, British Columbia. Born October

30th, 1917 in Czar, Alberta. Aubrey lived in several

communities in British Columbia before settling in Vernon. For three years he served in the

Air Force. Aubrey was a hard worker and had a real love for horses. He was very involved

in his church and had a strong faith in God and walked the Christian walk always helping

others. Aubrey will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his loving family; wife

Albina, to whom he was married for 68 years; sons Larry (Louise),

Norman (Pat) and Don (Lori). Cherishing his memory are his grandchildren: Rob, Lori,

Darren, Kimberly, Jodi and Kristien; eight great-grandchildren Dylan, Maddison, Seth,

Jocelynn, Erica, Noah, Mason and Leah. He is further survived by his sister Athelia Marshall

and brother Clare (Alfifi e) Holford. He was predeceased by his parents Ernest and Nellie

and his granddaughter Reanne. A Celebration of Life was held Friday, August 8th, 2008 at

Canterbury Court with Rev. Dr. Ed Millin offifi ciating. For those wishing to do so, a memorial

donation in Aubrey’s memory may be made to North Okanagan Hospice Society, 3506 –
