Aubrey passed away peacefully May 5, 2021 at his home of more than 60 years over looking Kalamalka Lake. He was born in Summerland May 6 1927 the youngest of three sons to the Rev. Thomas and Beatrice Reed. He considered himself fortunate to have lived most of his life in the Okanagan Valley.
After graduating from the University of British Columbia with his Master of Social Work Degree in 1953 he was employed by the Province of B.C. as a Social Worker, District Supervisor and Regional Director until his retirement in 1987.During his working and retirement years he served the community and his church on numerous boards. As well as many family activities Aubrey devoted himself to a magnificent vegetable garden.
Aubrey is survived by his wife of 69 years, Bev. who also was also born in the Okanagan; his son Allan (Jeanie) , daughter Jane, grandsons Alexander (Karen) and Spencer, and his nieces and nephews and their families.
Our thanks go to Dr. Pritchett, and the many Community Health Care Aids and Nurses who attended Aubrey over the past year enabling him to remain in his own home.
