HARLEY, Audrey Joan


It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Audrey Joan Harley, at the age of eighty-one years, on March 2, 2012 in her care home in Vernon, British Columbia. Audrey was born November 1, 1930 in Hamilton, Ontario. She was predeceased by her husband, Norm on January 7, 2012, to whom she was married to for fifty-nine years. Also predeceased by her father, Lloyd Copperwaithe, mother, Dorothy (Jones), and sisters ,Barbara (Plate) and Velma Copperwaithe. She will be forever loved and missed by her sons, David (Kelly), Michael (Kris), James (Mary), Richard (Laura); ten grandchildren, Danielle, Marcin, Meagan, Erin, Ania, Ian, Ethan, Sarah, Kieran, Hayden; five great-grandchildren, Eva, Nyah, Adriene, Aeon and Brady. She is also survived by her brother-in-law, Bill Plate, sisters-in law, Joyce Coveney, Lousie Kormos and family; nieces, Sandra and Patti; as well as nephews, Bob and Norman. Audrey arrived in Vernon with Norm in 1957 after two stints with the Hudon’s Bay Company in Calgary, Alberta and Vancouver, British Columbia. Audrey enjoyed her family, her four sons, friends , good wine, winters in Mexico and summers at the Country Club on Kalamalka Lake, and life in general.
