We regret to announce the passing of Audrey Marie Davies on October 16, 2006, aged 86. Audrey will be sadly missed by sons Robert,
(Armstrong) and Gordon (Mavis) (Vernon), grandsons, Jason and Bryan (Vancouver), numerous
nephews and nieces, as well as her many friends.
Audrey was born in Calgary, AB., May 13, 1920. She was predeceased by husband of 59 years, John, in 2001, and daughter, Diane, in 2005. Audrey raised her family of three in Vancouver and Vernon. She and John moved to Vernon in 1956, operating the City View Motel for over 20 years.
Audrey had a kind heart and soul. She always had an open door for those in need and gained the respect and love of all. Audrey never had a bad thing to say about anyone – she was a very special person who made this world a better place. Audrey will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by those whose lives she touched.
A private family remembrance will be held at a later date. Those wishing to may make donations in her memory to the SPCA or the BC Children’s Hospital.
Special thanks from Bob and Gord go to Virginia Calvert and her staff at D.J.’s Residence, Vernon.
