The family of Barry A. Dunbar wishes to announce his sudden passing on July 27, 2006 in Kamloops, BC at the age of 71 years. Predeceased by his wife, Diane, in 1998, he is survived by his children, Sandra Edgecombe, Joanne Dunbar (Tom McCluskey), Laura Dunbar, and Bob (Lisette) Dunbar. He also leaves his precious grandchildren, Howie, Dionne, Madelaine, Suzanne, Ryan, Craig, Karla, Christopher, Catherine, Amanda and Rebecca.
Barry was born in Bienfait, Sask. On May 11, 1935. He married Diane in 1957 and shortly thereafter they were stationed in Belgium with the Air Force. Upon their return to Canada they moved to B.C., eventually choosing Veron, BC as their home. Barry and Diane moved to Lillooet in 1989. He was a Past President of the Chamber of Commerce of Lillooet, Past President and served on the executive of the Royal Canadian Legion of Lillooet, and a founding member of the Army, Navy and Air Force Club of Vernon. Barry loved camping, fishing and golfing in his leisure time and well-deserved retirement.
The funeral service was held at the Royal Canadian Legion in Lillooet on Tuesday, August 1st.
