1944 – 2016
It is with deep sorrow that the family of
Benjamin McCaugherty announces his passing on Saturday, January 30, 2016 in Cranbrook, BC at 72 years of age.
Ben was born on January 23, 1944 in Kamloops, BC. He enjoyed playing hockey and baseball.
He was an avid Toronto Maple Leafs and Toronto Blue Jays fan. Ben liked cars and was always known to have a ‘nice’ car. He loved his family and never missed a birthday or holiday. He sent cards and gifts for everybody – including the dogs! Ben loved to spend his afternoons having coffee with his sister Dawn and his brother-in-law Steve and visiting them every day – they ALWAYS spent time together. He always enjoyed the company of his family and friends.
Ben was predeceased by his father Don McCaugherty and his mother Isobel McCaugherty. He is survived by his son Todd McCaugherty; son Wade (Nova) McCaugherty and granddaughter Mika and Grandson Finley; his sister Dawn (Steve) Hunt; nephew Don (Robin) Hunt and their family and many cousins.
A private funeral service will be held for Benjamin.
