Benjamin “Ben” Harold Schultz

At this time of sorrow, we share with you our regret of the passing of Benjamin “Ben” Harold Schultz on April 4, 2011 in Armstrong at 88 years of age. Ben will be truly missed by his children Karen (Robert) Cummings of Coquitlam, Bryan (Donna) Schultz, Kevin (Suzanne) Schultz, Debbie (Rob) Brown, Judy Schuh (Rich) all of Armstrong, Wayne (Carol) Schultz of Kelowna and his good friend Al Schuh of Vernon. He will also be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Krystal, Amber, Brent (Carrie – Dawn), Dawn (Chad), Randi, Christina, Blair, Keoni, Kris (Milannie), Matt (Santana), Courtney, Kirsten and Kylee; his great-grandchildren Nova, Lotus, Della, Cooper, Benjamin and Lily; as well as several extended family members and many more friends. Ben was predeceased by loving wife Sheila in 2002 and grandson Stefan Schuh in 1988. Ben was born on June 3, 1922 in Rush Lake SK to Cornelius and Katherina Schultz. He served overseas during the Second World War as Signal Man with the Royal Canadian Army and after returning home worked with Hoover Sawmill and later with Lavington Planer Mill. Ben was a proud farmer, active with the 4-H Swine Club, I.P.E and other community groups including ODD Fellows Lodge and specialized in the annual St. Patrick’s night celebration. Donations in memory of Ben may be made to the Kindale Developmental Association (23A 3300 Smith Drive, PO Box 94, Armstrong BC V0E 1B0, Memorial Service to take place at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, April 8, 2011 at St. James Anglican Church (2315 Patterson Avenue, Armstrong BC).
