We regret to announce the peaceful passing of Bernd Fehrmann on August 25th, 2007 at his home in Vernon. Bernd was born in Germany in 1946 and his family moved to Calgary when he was a young boy. When Bernd had his own family, he moved to Summerland and eventually settled in Vernon where he acted as the Treasurer for the City of Vernon for 21 years until retiring in 2006.
Bernd was predeceased by his father Kurt. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife Antonia, son Darren of Vancouver, daughter Theresa of Yellowknife, older brother Peter of Calgary, older sister Barbara of Mission and mother Gretel of Calgary.
Bernd enjoyed skiing, hiking, golfing and reading. He was a very determined and positive family man and a hard worker with a great sense of ethics. His courageousness saw him through the tough battle against cancer, with his family by his side.
The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, August 31, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at All Saints Anglican Church with The Reverend Canon Chris Harwood-Jones and The Reverend Canon Peter Davison officiating. Cremation. Reception will follow in the church hall. In lieu of flowers, those friends wishing to make memorial donations in memory of Bernd Fehrmann may do so to the B.C.
