Bernice MYLES


BERNICE MYLES passed away on April 3, 2003 in the Alexander Wing of Vernon Jubilee Hospital after a long and courageous battle with Multiple Sclerosis. She was born on June 15, 1930 in Rosedale, Manitoba to David and Lavinia Edwards and moved with her family in 1933 to Okanagan Landing. Bernice will be lovingly remembered by her family; husband John; sons Donald and Darren; daughter Debbie; sister Gladys Scales; sister-in-law Aggie Edwards, and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members. She was predeceased by her parents; her brothers Ivor, David and Elved; and sisters Jean Rogers and Ellen Jamieson. “Tootie” was generous, kind-hearted, humorous and devoted to her family. She is remembered for her fabulous baking and her love for roses. Thank you to Monica and Deanne for your wonderful support. Special thanks to Dr. Alfred Chan and Irene Payne for all of their care over the years. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, April 11, at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Pleasant Valley Funeral Home, with Mr. Brian Jackson officiating, followed by a tea in the Tea Room. Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to Vernon Funeral Home. Flowers gratefully declined.
