Betty passed away peacefully on June 12th, 2016 at Polson Extended Care Facility.

Betty Jean (Poy) Ford was born was born September 16, 1933 in Multnomak, Oregon. She was the daughter of Chung Poy and Mabel Glenn.

In Tacoma, Washington, Betty met the dashing young Bob Ford and they were married December 9, 1951 in Roy, Washington. Betty and Bob were married for 62 years. They loved to travel, camp, ranch, go boating, homestead, and raise their five sons. Betty loved her Lord, her family and sharing her talents.

Betty was predeceased by: her loving husband, Robert Ford (1930 – 2013), and son, Frank (1955 – 1983). She leaves to mourn: her sons: Patrick (Reneé), Jim (Ann), John (D.J.), and Joe (Patricia). Betty is also survived by her grandchildren: Patricia, Jennifer (Rob), Patrick II, Justin, Jesse, Lesley, Thomas Jay (Jordan), Cassie (Mike), Jason, Lea (Anthony), Christa (John); and nine great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 25th, 2016 at Pleasant Valley Funeral Home. Those friends wishing to make memorial contributions may do so in Betty’s name to the Alzheimer Society of British Columbia, 102, 3402 – 27th Avenue, Vernon, B.C. V1T 1S1

The Ford family would like to thank the staff at Polson Extended Care, Hearthstone Manor, and Coldstream Meadows for their compassionate care of Betty. A very special thank you to our angel and great friend, Arlee Lang. You have been a source of comfort and care to our family and we cannot thank you enough.
