1929 - 2016
Betty passed away peacefully in Lumby on December 26th, 2016 at the age of 87.
She is survived by two sons, Lachlan (Linda) of Blairmore, Alberta and Douglas (Donna) of Barrie, Ontario; eight grandchildren and a bouquet of great-grandchildren; one brother, Gary (Gladys) Blackwell of Kamloops; sister-in-law, Carol Blackwell of Ripley, Ontario; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. Betty was predeceased by her husband, James, in 1972; sons: Tommy in 2009 and Robbie in 2015; one brother, Bob Blackwell and one sister, Deanna Hamilton.
The funeral service will be held in the Lumby Christian Church on Thursday, January 5th, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. A reception will be held in the church. Interment will take place in the Lumby Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, those friends wishing to make memorial contributions in memory of Betty may do so to the Alzheimers Society.
