BETTY MYERS

Betty Myers

Betty Florence Myers passed away at Hospice House on September 19, 2007 to be reunited with her true love and soulmate, Dennis, after a courageous battle with cancer, at the age of 74. Born in England, Betty came to Canada with her husband in 1957. They resided in Calgary until 1980 when they moved to the Vernon area. With over fifty years of loving and laughing with each other Dennis and Betty are proof positive that everlasting Love still exists in this day and age. I’m sure they are twirling around through the clouds right now – back together again at last. But such a bitter sweet thing for us that are still here on earth.

My mom was a sweet, classy lady that brought lots of love and laughter to all that met her. She taught me manners, respect, and what Love

really means. Thanks mom! I’m sure gonna miss you. Love Forever. She is lovingly remembered by her sons Chris (Julie/Taran/Ashly) and Glenn (Susan) and grandchildren Mitchell and Mason and of course, her furry little tuna eating friend Snoopy (aka. Moochie).

And in mom’s own words “I have helped others that needed help spiritually, taken fear out of death, and let them see that even with so much pain and cancer I can still smile and have fun, which gives others courage to do the same should they befall such a bad thing.”

Thanks to all the amazing friends, neighbors and sisters of the heart that cared so much – too many to list here. A very special thanks to one guttersnipe angel by the name of Sarah – and one other by the name of Cindy – both with hearts of gold. Thanks also to the home nurses and aids (especially Debbie) who showed compassion and understanding and care in times of need. And last but not least the Hospice House staff – what a great place. Please support this outstanding organization.

Cremation arrangements were made at the Vernon Funeral Home. Friends wishing to do so can make donations in Betty’s memory to the Hospice house in Vernon, B.C.

Always be by my side – Best Friends For ever.

Words could never say how important you are to me.

You always seem to remember just the right things to do.

Friends that last forever and share bonds so true.

I’m so glad that God gave to me someone so special like you. (Cindy’s Poem)

So as the singer Chris Deburgh would say, here the “Transmission Ends”.Love each other with all your heart – you never know when the time will come. Thelma and Louise will ride again!

So long for now, see you on the other side.
