January 24, 2019
A warm and sunny day under a brilliant Okanagan blue sky, we gathered around to guide her towards whatever comes next on her journey. Malcolm whispers, "I love you my honey," and we softly sing tunes, cry and laugh.

Bev McCulloch left us, January 24, 2019 at the fitting age of 82. She lived at Polson for the last three years and we are infinitely grateful for the caring and dedicated staff at this well-ran residential care facility in Vernon, BC.

Bev is survived by her husband Malcolm McCulloch, the love of her life for nearly a half of a century. "I fell in love the minute I saw her that hot August day, and there was never anyone else for me from that day on," Malcolm is fond of saying.

Bev leaves her three daughters, Juli, Lori, and Dani Winstanley and her grandchildren Jami, Jason, Jodi, Julian and Emlyn and her great grandsons Darrin and Ryder. She is deeply mourned by Malcolm, her daughters, the grand and great grandchildren and by a large network of extended family and friends.

She is pre-deceased by her parents Eric and Eileen Koski and her Brothers Merv and Ted Koski.

Bev was born in Salmon Arm on an early spring day, Wednesday March 11, 1936 and spent her school years in Lumby, moving to Vernon in her late teens to work at the Hudson Bay Department Store.  This was after our small town girl had returned from a year of working in Edleman's Department Store in Saskatoon. She married her first husband, Jim Winstanley (now deceased) in 1956 and began raising their three daughters in Vernon and other BC small towns.

Bev worked in retail sales for many years and gained her love of creating photo collages after helping put the local television guide magazine to press for a few years. She loved to dance, entertain and sing and her loving spirit led her to become a Kalamalka Caring Clown.  Known in clowning circles as "Hapi", she spent uncountable hours visiting the sick and elderly bringing a ray of sunshine to their lives.

A service honouring the long and memorable life of Beverly McCulloch (nee Koski) will be held at the Pleasant Valley Funeral Home, Vernon, BC on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at 2 pm.

"Play among the stars our sweet, funny Bev / Mom. Make them brighter, make them shine and sparkle, each and every night."

Arrangements have been entrusted to Vernon Funeral Home, Phone: 250 542 0155. Condolences may be offered at www.vernonfuneralhome.com.
