Beverly Ruth Doyle
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Beverly Ruth Doyle (nee Clarke) at Polson Special on August 19, 2011, with devoted husband Harry by her side. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of almost 53 years, Harry, daughter Shawn (Sid) Tozer of Vernon, son Chris (Linda) Doyle of Burnaby, son Drew (Kathy) Doyle of Vernon, grandchildren Dylan, Sarah, Nicole, Lisa, Mike, Stephanie, Jordyn and Tyler, great grandson Zim, sisters Kay and Clara and numerous nieces and nephews.
Bev was born October 25, 1936 in Nanaimo, BC to Joseph and Ann Clarke. She was the youngest of 6 children and spent most of her childhood growing up in beautiful Parksville, BC. Bev eventually moved to Vancouver for work and met Henry (Harry) Doyle, the man of her dreams! They were married October 4, 1958 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in New Westminster, BC by Father Sullivan. The happy couple continued to live in Vancouver and Surrey areas raising their 3 children until moving to Vernon in 1977. Bev was known for her love of crafts, especially making bears, which is very evident throughout their house. She also had a special love for her dog ‘Thor’, a chocolate lab who gave her many years of enjoyment.
Bev was predeceased by her brother Jack, and sisters Florence and Joan. The family would like to acknowledge and thank the staff at Polson Special as well as Dr. Kadar and Dr. Boucher for making Bev feel at home and for the tender care they provided.
