It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Beverly Louise Thibault (Martin), in the North Okanagan Hospice House on July 6th, 2016 at the age of 64 years.

Her memory will be cherished by the beloved family that she and Denis raised together: sons, Brent of Vancouver and Shawn (Rachael); daughter, Rachelle (Stephen) Maglio; six grandchildren: Travis (Kirsten), Colton, Taylor, Nicholas, Seth, and Quinn; and great granddaughter, Hadley, all of Vernon. Beverly was one of eight siblings and will be greatly missed by her brother, Gary Martin of Kamloops; six sisters: Linda (Deloy) Routley, Bonnie (Real) Lauzon, Wendy (Bob) Wilson, Joanne (Greg) Beatty, and Monica Martin, all of Vernon, Lianne Martin (Mark Prentice) of New Westminster; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends. Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Victor Martin and Muriel Isobel Martin (Henderson).

Bev was born Beverly Louise Martin in Vernon, B.C. May 29th, 1952, and grew up with her large family in Lumby, B.C. She continued to live and

raise her children in the Okanagan Valley. Bev was a natural beauty; her grace on the dance floor was admired by all who knew her. In the early years Bev was a Beaver Leader, ball coach and avid bowler. Later, a passion for golf took hold, rivalled only by her lifelong love of music and dancing. She was often seen teaching a few steps to her grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Bev’s career path led her into retail sales and bookkeeping. She had a mind for figures while expressing an artistic side through various art mediums. She was an animal lover, enjoyed playing darts and her adventurous side took her to the open road on a motorcycle. Bev was thoughtful, kind and generous. She loved to laugh. Her witty personality and loving nature made her a great friend to many. Devoted to her family, she was a loving and supportive mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and auntie. The importance and love of family will forever be her legacy.

Cremation preceded the Funeral Service which will be celebrated in St. James Roman Catholic Church on Saturday, July 16, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. A reception

will follow in St. James Catholic School Parish Centre.

As an expression of sympathy, those who wish to do so may send donations in memory of Beverly to North Okanagan Hospice Society.
