Ed Malowany of Vernon, B.C. passed away at the age of 86 years with his family by his side.

Ed was born in Plain Lake Alberta on September 1, 1931 to William (Bill) and Pearl Malowany.

As a handsome young chap, Ed, moved to Vernon with his family in 1947.

In 1950 Ed met Vicky while looking at magazines in the Vernon Bus Depot. Their first meeting was their cover story.

Ed and Vicky married in 1952 at the Trinity United Church. Ed and Vicky had four daughters, Shirley, Yvonne, Edvina and Karla.

Ed was a hard working man, having acquired three trades, carpentry, stationary engineer and painter. Ed retired in 1986 after working with the BC building corporation for 30 years. Ed's family was the focus of his life.

Ed is survived by his daughters Edvina, Karla (Max), Grandchildren Gillian (Brodie), Samantha, Jordan (Melanie), Kaila, Morgan and Great grandchildren, Nevaeh and Sterling and Kelly dearly loved as family.

Being a Grandpa and great grandpa was very, very special to him (the chocolate treats were always well stocked.)

Ed was predeceased by his wife Vicky of fifty years, daughters Shirley and Yvonne, his parents Bill and Pearl and sister Marion and son in law Tom and many life long friends.

Dad loved his family, gardening, raising his exotic birds, his beer and a good joke!

Upon his request there will be no Memorial Service.
