Brenda Mildred Nash


We regret to announce the death at Vernon Jubilee Hospital on May 23, 2006, of BRENDA MILDRED NASH (nee Mayes) in her 100th year. Brenda was born in England, but came to the Okanagan in 1912 and has been a resident here ever since. She was predeceased by her husband, Ron, in 1968. Brenda was also predeceased by a sister, Nina Mayes, and by a great-grandson, Jarrod. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by son, Dick Nash, of Fort McMurray; daughter Judy (Don) Beal of Prince George; grandchildren: Doug, Mickey (Sarina), Patti (Brian) and Carolyn (Steve); great-grandchildren: Lynn, Stephanie, Megan and Christopher; and several nieces and nephews, including Harry (Joyce) Nash and Marjorie Hall of Vernon. Brenda will be remembered by many throughout the community as a multi-talented artist, who painted in many mediums. A private family Memorial Service was held on Monday at All Saints’ Anglican Church, with the Reverend Jane Bourcet officiating. in lieu of flowers, friends wishing to do so may make donations in memory of Brenda to the Vernon Branch of the S.P.C.A.
