BRIAN CLAUSON

BRIAN CLAUSON

Brian Robert Clauson

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Brian Robert Clauson in Fort Saskatchewan Alberta at the age of 56. Brian was born in Vernon B.C. and grew up enjoying all the Okanagan had to offer, including swimming, water skiing, tennis, snowmobiling, and snow skiing. Brian served as a volunteer ski patroller at Silver Star.

After graduating from Vernon Senior Secondary, Brian enrolled in the Law Enforcement Program at Mount Royal College and upon completion was recruited by the Edmonton City Police. Brian served a long and distinguished career with integrity, compassion, and a dedication to excellence.

Later in life Brian enjoyed photography, flying his Cessna 172, piloting his paraglider and golfing. As much as his battle with Parkinson’s disease would allow, Brian strived to be a lifelong learner.

Family and friends will remember Brian for his loyalty, kindness, unselfish uplifting nature, and unconditional love. Brian is survived by his parents Neil and Kay Clauson; wife Joanne; daughters Nicole and Kelsey; son Brendan; and only brother, Wayne (Dorothy) Clauson and their four children Anthony (Victoria), Julia, Heather and Mark. A celebration of Brian’s life will be held on Friday, January 16th at 1:00pm in the Normandy Room of the Fort Saskatchewan Legion.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to the Brian Robert Clauson Memorial Scholarship Fund. Details on how to donate will be forthcoming.
