It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Brian on October 4, 2016, far too soon at the age of 60. Born in Vernon, BC, he is predeceased by his parents, Walter and Yasuko Joe.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, June, and their daughter, Samantha, sisters Donna (Dieter) and Vicky, his niece Alexandra, and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Upon graduation from UBC, he married the love of his life, June and settled in Burnaby, BC. His experience in accounting and financial planning ultimately led to a successful career in real estate. Brian was a strong advocate for public education and served on Burnaby’s DPAC. His love of sports drew him to spend many years coaching soccer and softball. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 29 at 1:00 pm at Anvil Centre, 777 Columbia Street, New Westminster. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your favourite charity in Brian’s memory.
