October 18, 1936 - July 1, 2018
Brian was born on October 18th, 1936 in Southend-On-Sea, Essex, England and was suddenly called Home to be with his Lord while in his sleep on July 1st, 2018 at the age of 81 years.
Brian will be lovingly remembered by his wife Jane, to whom he was married five days short of 55 years; one daughter, Theresa (Tony) Baker of Vernon, B.C.; two grandsons, Mark (Tara-Lynn) Baker of Edmonton, Alberta and Cory Baker of Vernon, B.C.; two brothers, David (Mitzi) Romaine and Alan (Rita) Romaine as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family, all in England. He was preceded in death by one son, Christopher Romaine in 1977.
Brian and Jane came to Canada immediately following their marriage on July 6th, 1963 and settled in Toronto, Ontario. There Brian was employed as an Engineer with Atomic Energy of Canada and later as a Safety Consultant with IAPA of Toronto. During his life he was involved in various other vocations and businesses until moving to Vernon in 1983 where he will be best remembered as an outstanding and trusted Realtor for many years. While residing here he was not only a Realtor but over the years built homes, did renovation jobs, volunteered with Friends of the Environment and the Upper Room Mission. He had a strong faith in God and was a Priest in the New Apostolic Church for a total of 50 years.
Cremation preceded the Funeral Service which will be held at Bethel Funeral Chapel on Saturday, July 14th, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. with The Reverend Tom Haag officiating. A Reception will follow in the Bethel Tea Room.
As an expression of sympathy, those who wish to do so may send donations in memory of Brian to the charity of their choice.
The family wishes to extend a special heartfelt thanks to Dr. L. Mandreck for his care and great medical counsel given to Brian over the years.
