BRIAN WILLIAM: Brian’s family is so sad to announce his sudden passing on December 1, 2004. Brian was born, the only son of Arthur and Beatrice Salter on October 23, 1935 and was predeceased by both of his parents. Brian is survived by his loving wife, Gwynne and his most beloved children and grandchildren; Son, Darrell and his wife Bonnie, their children Camille, Sandra and Michael; his daughter Cynthia and her husband Russell Anderson and their children, Matthew, Naomi, Hayley and Corinne of Calgary; his daughter, Deborah, her husband Gerry and their children Dustin and Breanne of Winnipeg and his son, William Salter of Vancouver. Brian is also survived by his brother Denis and family of Montreal and his brother-in-law Fred Taylor of Quesnel and his family, along with many extended family members. Brian joined the Canadian Navy in 1955 and served, for the most part, in the far north of Canada. He has since been a proud member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Vernon Branch. Brian was a very active member of the Kiwanis Four Seasons in Vernon, Vernon Curling Club and spent many happy hours on Spallumcheen Golf Course. Brian was a kind and generous man who gave of himself to many causes. He was a Certified General Accountant, past president of the prairie region and a fellow of that organization. Brian will be deeply missed by all of his family and his many friends here in Vernon and the rest of Canada. A celebration of Brian’s life will be held at the Salvation Army Chapel, 3303 – 32 Street in Vernon on Monday, December 6th at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Sean Wong officiating. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations to the Salvation Army Food Bank in Vernon.
