September 13, 1929 - July 16, 2018
It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of "Bud" Carey on July 16, 2018 in Vernon BC.

Bud was born in Andrew Alberta on Sept. 13, 1929 to Sgt. Edward Carey CEF, (WWI) and Marie Bock.

At an early age, Bud belonged to Air Cadets and Sea Cadets, and joined the RCAF in 1947. His career lasted over thirty years and he rose to the rank of Captain. Bud served in Whitehorse, Fontainbleau France, Jericho Beach, Ottawa, Penhold, Winnipeg and finished his career in the Edmonton Recruiting Office.

Bud was predeceased by his parents and his first wife, Jean. He is survived by his wife, Gail of Desert Cove, brother, Gene Carey and Sister, Irene Carey, sons: Douglas (Tina), Rick (Heather), Don (Doreen).

He will be greatly missed by his many Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren, as well as, numerous Nieces and Nephews.

A celebration of life will be held in his honour at the Desert Cove Recreation Hall on July 28 from 1 pm until 4 pm.

The Family would like to thank the Nurses, Doctors and Staff of the 6th Floor and CCU at VJH for their care and consideration during his illness.
