On the morning of Wednesday, December 1st, 2021 Kay's amazing life journey came to an end at the age of 104 years. Kay was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba to her parents Donald and Dolina MacDonald and she was raised on their homestead near the shores of Lake Manitoba with her siblings Angus, Margaret, Donald and William. She has now joined them along with her husband Raymond Butler for a long awaited reunion in Heaven. Our family would like to express our sincere appreciation to the staff at Gateby Care Home and to John, thank you for aunt Kay's care in her final hours. In respecting Kay's wishes, she was cremated and a private gathering of family and friends will take place at a later date when she is laid to rest beside her husband in the Ocean View Cemetery in Burnaby, B.C.
