It is with great sadness that we must announce the passing of our beloved Chuck. He passed away peacefully in Vernon Hospital after his courageous battle with progressive cancer.
Born in Duncan BC, Chuck developed a love for cars at an early age. In his younger years he would go on to race cars at Mission Raceway and become a mechanic. While living at the coast, it would be the auto industry that would lead Chuck to meet his wife. It would also become a profession for which, after moving to Vernon in the 80's, he would become well known for around the community. His passion, knowledge and honesty would find him helping all those in need, and earn him great respect. His love of cars and motorsports would also be shared with his younger brother and would eventually be shared with his son. A love that would see them bond as he mentored his sons teenage competitive kart racing career. A love that would see him attend every Indy race in Vancouver, a Formula 1 race and have him follow everything racing and automotive on TV.
From the numerous family vacations, dinners, and gatherings, it was evident Chuck enjoyed being around his many family and friends and particularly savoured his time in the Kootenay's.
Predeceased by his Father Orvel and Mother Peggy, Chuck is survived by his loving Wife Wendy, Son Chris, Brother Bryan (Deborah), Sister Brenda (Harvey), many Brother and Sister -in -law, many Nephews and Nieces, many extended family and many friends.
We would like to express our many thanks for the incredible support and multitude of well wishes from Chuck's family and friends. He was truly a well-loved man.
