May 23, 1936 – January 10, 2019
It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of Chuck on January 10, 2019 at the Vernon Jubilee Hospital. He was born on May 26, 1936 in Toronto, Ontario. Chuck was raised by his grandmother in the Kitchener area.
He went on to join the Air Force for ten years and was stationed at various places in Canada. He settled in Vernon and became Office Manager for Davidson & Company. He was a life-time member of the Vernon Golf & Country Club where he enjoyed many years of golfing with his many friends. He also had a love for the game of bridge and had many games with his bridge buddies.
He is survived by his wife Judy Greig from Vernon, his step-daughter, Shelley (Salvatore) Guarnera, and his precious granddaughter Tatum Guarnera, all from Las Vegas. He also leaves his niece, Karen McKnight from Milton, Ontario. He was pre-deceased by his step-son, Todd Stoddard on September 2, 1988, his mother, Marguerite Rice Greig on July 24, 1944, his brother, Ernest Greig on May 3, 2003, and his grandmother, Sarah Scott on October 15, 1961.
It was Chuck’s wish that there would be no service and he be cremated, with internment at a later date at the Pleasant Valley Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Vernon Jubilee Hospital Foundation, 2101 – 32nd Street, Vernon, B.C., V1T 5L2.
