Charles Wayne "Chuck" Schwarz

May 21, 1937 - February 21, 2019
It is with great sorrow and sadness that we announce the passing of Chuck with his family by his side at Hospice House in Vernon, BC. on February 21st, 2019.
He will be lovingly remembered by his beloved wife of 59 years; Lila, his daughter; Wendy (and her bulldogs), his son; Jim (Cheryl), his grandchildren; Jason (Heather) and Cassandra, his great-grandchildren; William and Adeline, his sister; Violet (Harold), his brothers; Gene (Pat), Glen (Wendy) and Lance (Carmen) along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, friends and his long-time friend Rose.
Chuck was predeceased by his sister; Vivian, his grandson; Kurtis and by his parents; Charles and Nellie.
Chuck proudly served the RCAF for numerous years, taking him to Sea Island, Germany and New Brunswick. In 1969 he started his own business in Port Alberni, then in Campbell River and finally in Vernon where he operated for over 20 years. Many people will remember him as Chuck's Heating and Cooling.
In respecting Chuck's wishes, he was cremated, and a Celebration of his life will be announced at a later date.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks and gratitude to all the Nurses, Care Aides and Volunteers at the North Okanagan Hospice House for their loving care of Chuck and our family during this difficult time.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Chuck's memory can be made to the North Okanagan Hospice Society, 3506 27th Avenue, Vernon, B.C. V1T 1S4.

God saw you getting tired,
And a cure was not to be.
So He put his arms around you and whispered,

A golden heart stopped beating,
Hard working hands at rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us,
He only takes the Best.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 18th, 2019 from 1 to 3 pm. Army & Navy Hall, 2500 - 46th Avenue, Vernon, BC.
