CHESTER OWEN ATKINSON
Chester Owen Atkinson passed away peacefully in his Enderby home on November 26, 2004, at the age of seventy-five. He is survived by his wife Nancy, to whom he was married forty-eight years; children, Donna Atkinson, Vernon, B.C., Heather (Erik) Reid of Salmon Arm, B.C., Eric (Chris) Atkinson of Kamloops, B.C., Della (Paul) Cascagnette of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Holly (Russ) Le Neve of Bon Accord, Alberta; grandchildren, William and Sandra Reid, Matthew and David Cascagnette, Kayleigh and Travis Peters, Jacqueline, Zachary and Alexander Atkinson; sister, Mabel Harder of Morningside, Alberta. Born in Canyon Creek, East Kelowna, British Columbia, on January 14, 1929, Chester spent his life working in the forest industry, trucking and various other jobs. Moving to Enderby in 1972, he was an active member in the Seventh-Day Adventist Church and well known in Enderby due to his paper routes, yard work and winter snow removal. He will be sadly missed by his family and many friends. A Memorial Service will be held 1:00 p.m., Friday, December 3, 2004, in the Enderby United Church with tea to follow.
