1956 - 2016
It is with great sorrow that we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Cindy Bowness (nee Paxton) of Vernon, BC at the age of 59. Cindy died of myocardial infarction at her home on April 7, 2016. She is survived by her husband Lyle Bowness of Vernon; her son Jordan Bowness (Tanya Bowness nee Dobson) of Vernon; her grandsons, Evan and Liam Bowness of Vernon, and; her son Corey Bowness of Victoria. Cindy was born on July 16, 1956 in Nelson, BC to parents George and Margaret Paxton. She was little sister to Howie, Jack, and Joan.
Cindy was dedicated to her career in the Employment Services industry. She cared deeply about the well-being of everyone in her life, and earned a special place in the hearts of those who knew her. She was a nurturing mother, proud grandmother, and loving wife ... of notable patience.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Cindy’s name to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Cindy on Tuesday, April 19th from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Army Navy And Airforce Veterans Unit #5 Hall, 2500 46 Avenue, Vernon, BC.
