Clifford Augustus Stitt

Died Tuesday, November 17, 2009 in the North Okanagan Hospice, Vernon.

The Memorial Service will be held Saturday, November 21, 2009 at 11 a.m. at the Knox Presbyterian Church, 3701 – 32nd Avenue, Vernon.

Cliff was born June 28, 1925 in Rossburn, Manitoba to Wilson and Eileen Stitt, one of eight children. Cliff spent many hours working on the family farm before he enlisted in the RCAF at the age of 18 in 1943. He was discharged in 1945.

Cliff moved to BC in 1948 and worked in a variety of jobs and ending his career at the Dept. of Highways in Kamloops.

He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Alice Stitt and 5 children, JoAnne, Frances, Sandra, Rick and Donna. He also leaves behind 11 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

His interests included bowling, skiing, camping, fishing, travelling, Old Time dancing & Square dancing.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent in memory of Clifford Stitt to North Okanagan Hospice Society, 3506 – 27th Ave, Vernon, B.C. V1T 1S4.
