It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our beloved Cornelius (Corey) Keating (35) of Kelowna, BC. He passed unexpectedly on May 22, 2017. Corey was born on October 1, 1981 in Edson, AB. The son of Tim and Laurel Keating. He attended schools throughout the Okanagan and was loved by many. Corey was a father, a son, a brother, a partner, a cousin, and a best friend to many. He touched the hearts of everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.

He was a charismatic, charming, sweet and sensitive soul, who always knew how to make us laugh. Corey loved spending time with his family and his son Jordan, working out (#gains), listening to music, and was known for giving some of the best haircuts (fades) around. Even though he had a tough go at life he always tried to stay positive and he strived to be a better version of himself. He leaves us with many gifts and life lessons that we will hold within our hearts, next to all of the wonderful memories we have of him.

Corey was predeceased by his father Timothy, brother Adam (2013), uncle Bill, grandparents

Alf Fester, Doris McDonald-Keating, Alan Grant; great grandparents: Phyllis and Clarence Hendrickson, and Adelaide Grant. Corey is survived by his son Jordan, mother Laurel (Paul); his siblings Zack, Rebecca, Amanda, and the love of his life; Yvonne. He leaves his maternal grandmother Beverly Fester. Also survived by his grandmother Marion Grant and several aunts, uncles, and close friends including Rob Smith and Paul Volker who were both stepfathers

to Corey.

His Celebration of Life will be held on June 3rd at Pleasant Valley Funeral Home in Vernon at 1:30 pm, with a reception to follow at the Elk’s Hall, 3103 - 30th Street in Vernon.
