July 22, 1931 - June 17, 2019
Corrie was born on July 22nd, 1931 in Nieuw Vennep, Netherlands and was called Home to be with her Lord on June 17th, 2019 in Vernon, B.C. at the age of 87 years.
She will be lovingly remembered by her children; Jack (Rose) Van Steensel, Trudy (Kurt) Hagedorn, Perry (Sue) Van Steensel, Debbie (Dave) Koopmans, Becky Marchand and Diane Marchand, her grandchildren; Cheri (Mark), Sabrina, David (Kathryn), Stephanie, Jordan (Jessica), Kelsy, Meagan and Khalen (Shalea), her great-grandchildren; Terry, Scott, Lealund, Ara, Jaxton, Kestrel and Kaimon, her siblings; Mary Miedema, Arie (Dieny) Schalk, Peter (Henny) Schalk, Joe (Shirley) Schalk and John (Leny) Schalk along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. Corrie was preceded in death by her husband; John Van Steensel, her brothers; Casey and Gerry Schalk and by her parents; Peter and Gertrude Schalk.
Our entire family would like to extend our heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the wonderful staff at Creekside Landing for the amazing care and compassion shown to our mom and our family over the years she lived there.
A private family Graveside Service preceded a Celebration of Corrie's Life which will be held at Knox Presbyterian Church on Wednesday, June 26th, 2019 at 11 am with Reverend Grace Wulff officiating. A Reception will follow in the church Fellowship Hall.
