Feb 19, 1941 - Apr 20, 2018
We regret the passing of Dai Scott on April 20 in Armstrong.

Dai was born in North Vancouver in 1941. She is survived by her husband Dan, sisters Mary Lee and Lorrayn, and brother John. Also her children: Jim (Laurie), Trent (Donna), Holly (Conrad), Mark (Mandy); grandchildren: Richelle, Steven, Richard, Christopher; and great grandchildren: Sawyer and Zoe.

Dai grew up in North Vancouver marrying for the first time at age 19. She married two more times before finding Dan and they celebrated 22 years together.

Dai moved to Armstrong in 1974. She started making pottery in 1978 and continued until her retirement in 2006. After her retirement, Dai and Dan did a bit of traveling but she spent most of her time knitting and quilting. Dai enjoyed playing ball and curling. She rode a motorcycle until she was nearly 60.

Dai was involved in Toastmasters and spent time as president of the club. Once retired, Dai joined Asparagus Theatre where she volunteered in many capacities including director, costume design, set, producing, promotion and also served as president. Asparagus Theatre created a high school scholarship in her name.

Due to Alzheimer's, Dai's last two years were spent in Pleasant Valley Manor. Her family would like to thank the staff for their excellent care and support. Dai touched many lives, was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Dai's name to the Alzheimer's Society or Pleasant Valley Manor.

A Celebration of Life is planned for June 23rd.

Expressions of sympathy may be forwarded to the family at www.MyAlternatives.ca.
