We are saddened by the loss in this life of Dale Babcock. He was a loving husband & father, grandfather & friend. He was born in Lone Rock Saskatchewan on August 11th, 1930 and passed away December 7th, 2011 in Vernon, BC at the age of 81 years.

Dale will be missed immensely by all those who had the honour & privilege of knowing him. He has left behind his wife of 60 years, Verla, who was the love of his life, as well as his 2 daughters Tracie Savage & Marla Kelly, both of Vernon & his 5 grandchildren & 2 great granddaughters.

Dale’s sense of humour was his trademark as well as his constant companion & he regularly lit up the lives of those around him with a joke or a funny story. He was a gentle & kind man who enriched the lives of his friends and his family. Dale died in the compassionate care of the staff at Hospice House, enmeshed in the love of his daughters, family & friends, passing with grace, dignity & peace.

In lieu of flowers please forward donations to the North Okanagan Hospice Society, 3506 27th Avenue, Vernon, BC V1T 1S4 in Dale’s memory.

A service will be held December 21, in the Banquet Room of the Schubert Center, at 3505 30th Avenue, Vernon, BC at 2:00 p.m.

A celebration of Dale’s life & a tea will be held following the service. We welcome all who would like to attend.

Many thanks to his physician, Dr. Doug Williams, & all the nursing staff who provided Dale with the medical care he needed during the time preceding his death.
