December 3, 1952 - January 17, 2020
Dan left this world in the same manner he lived in it. Quietly. He was sitting in his favorite chair, tv remote in his hand, Trump impeachment saga on the screen as I sat next to him reading when he took his final, peaceful breath. The eloquent words of our daughter Danielle sum up Dan. "My Dad was such a kind and gentle soul. He was brilliant, so quiet and unassuming.
A gifted musician, philosopher and a highly ethical man with deep sense of compassion. He was an amazing father and grandfather and he was so loved."
He leaves behind to cherish his memory Patricia (Kilmartin), his partner in life for over 50 years, his children; Danielle, Michelle (Serge Michaud), Liam and Erin. His beloved grandchildren; Julian, Evangeline, Morgan, Austin, Hayden and Eden. Brothers Jim (Liz), Brian (Pam, deceased), sisters; Kathy Northgraves (Dave), and Carol Allen, and sister-in-law Wendy McDonagh (Tom, deceased). Dan had many people he held close to his heart, including: Auntie Marion and Uncle Hank Stevens, Brian and Yvonna Kilmartin, Serge Michaud, Dick and Darleen Cardon, Art Lowther and his Cloverdale Paint Family as well as his nieces and nephews.
Dan was predeceased by his parents, Paddy and Fay, brother Tom, sisterin- law Pam and Mother and Father-in-laws Pat and Jeannette Kilmartin, and brother-in-law Tim Kilmartin.
Until we meet again Dan, sosa in slochain, Love you.
