Darrel Joseph William Gagne was born on May 28th, 1928 in Kamloops, B.C. and passed away on September 24th, 2015 in the Vernon Jubilee Hospital at the age of 87 years.
Darrel will be lovingly remembered by his wife Dorothy (nee Metcalfe) of Vernon, B.C.; two step-daughters, Ann (Rocky) Robson of Pemberton, B.C. and Alison Mah of Surrey, B.C.; six step-grandchildren, Tawnya, Kylie, Taylor, Erica, Monica and Jayden; one brother, Bernard Gagne of Chase, B.C.; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members. He was preceded in death by his parents, Aurora (nee Leger) and Francis Gagne; and three sisters, Shirley-Ann, Joan and Mona.
Darrel worked in the wood industry all of his working life, from the time he was 14, until he retired. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Lumby Branch #167 and the Lumby OAP for many years.
Cremation preceded a Celebration Of Darrel’s Life which will be held at the Whitevalley Community Centre in Lumby, B.C. on Saturday, October 10th, 2015 at 1:00 P.M.
