In Loving Memory ~
Darrell Netzel, husband, father, son of a railroader, passed away January 29, 2022.
He is deeply missed and eternally loved by his wife of 56 yrs, Lori, daughters Sandra (Cam) and Janis, his grand and great grandchildren, brothers and nieces and nephews.
Darrell was born in Falkland, BC on October 18, 1941. His varied careers took him across the country as an RCMP officer, logger, and small engine mechanic, with most of his life spent in the Prince George area. Darrell returned to the Okanagan in 2006, calling Armstrong home for his final years.
Family, friends, and neighbors always benefitted from Darrell's tomato harvest. A good-natured rivalry with his twin brother Darwin (deceased) over the bounty of their respective gardens kept Darrell busy in the summers, as did golfing and fishing with family and friends.
Darrell lived by three creeds: family before self, laugh until you cry, and never let a guest have an empty glass. Always quick with a story or a joke, Darrell was able to find humor in even the darkest and saddest times. It is this legacy that his family will cherish.
A celebration of life will be held this Spring.
