Brosseau, Joseph Darren passed away suddenly on September 17, 2005. Darren was born in Vernon on May 15, 1984, and grew up on his family’s property on the Shuswap River near Shuswap Falls with many of his cousins. After graduating he completed trade school at the top of his class as a welder and went on to work in Alberta and Northern British Columbia as well as locally. Darren will be forever lovingly remembered by his parents, Charlie and Anetha Brosseau and his sister, Suzanne along with his uncles and aunts and their families: Marguerite Brosseau of Victoria; Ron and Rosaline Nishi of Surrey; Joe Brosseau and Brenda Bannerman of Vernon; Ross and Cecile Gordon of Lumby; Rick and Jeannette Rosene of Coldstream; Bernard and Shelly Brosseau of Lumby; Bob and Isabelle Dovey of Kaslo; Dave and Mary Gasser of Victoria; and Dan and Carol McCoy of Nanaimo. He will also be sadley missed by his many friends that were so important to him. The funeral will be private but a memorial reception will be held at the Mabel Lake Community Hall at Shuswap Falls Road on Saturday, September 24, 2005, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in memory of Darren be made to the local charity of your choice.
