July 24, 2020
1955-2020 ~ We are heartbroken to announce the sudden and unexpected passing of David on July 24, 2020 in Vernon, B.C.
Left to mourn his memory are his loving wife Lamiyati Maharani (Rani) Trevelyan, of Bali, Indonesia, his four older brothers and their wives, George (Rita), Brian (Beth), Lee, and Jim (Lydia) as well as his younger sister Ann (Chris) along with nieces and nephews, Christine (Jim), Darcy (Tereza), Rob (Tammy), Kerry (Marty), Ashley (Steph), Jessica and Kelsey as well as seven great nieces and nephews.
David made deep and lasting friendships all around the world and we know we are joined by many of them in honouring his memory. He had a way of connecting with people that left a lasting impression. He was just developing his teaching skills in art therapy with great passion and success until Covid ended all that.
David was a gifted graphic artist, painter and sculptor whose influence can still be seen in signage around the Okanagan and his art graces homes, businesses and gardens all over the world.
His wife Rani is trying to join the family in Canada to share in a celebration of life for David but due to Covid, is thus far unable to travel from Bali. There was no insurance, no pension, and there is no social support system in Indonesia as well as no work for Rani due to the pandemic. The family asks please no flowers but if you wish to do so, there is a go fund me page set up for Rani to help her, through this difficult time, on David's facebook page.
To those who have already generously contributed, on behalf of Rani, our heartfelt thank you.
