It is with great sadness that the family of David Charles Cameron announce his

passing on August 31st,

2006 at Carrington Place, Vernon, B.C.

Long time companion to Sonia Ingaborg Nelson and stepfather to Gail Isrealson both of whom are deceased. Survived by two stepdaughters, Marilyn Uchida, Lorene Turgeon, 5 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Born September 15th, 1921, at Vernon Jubilee Hospital, Vernon, B.C. Son of David and Susan Cameron, brother to Ella Alexis Cameron Betty (Anderson), Jacquie (Swanson), Minnie (Jacobsen) and Jim Cameron, all of whom are also deceased.

Survived by sister Lucy Brett of Vernon B.C. and a large extended family on the Okanagan reserve as well as in Vancouver, B.C. He was also a great nephew to the first mayor of Vernon, W.F. Cameron

David Cameron joined the D.C.O.R.S in 1940, which took him overseas in 1942. Wounded in Italy Oct. 17th, 1944, he returned home in 1945. He was also a member in the Seaforth Highlanders, retiring in Vernon over two years ago. We were very fortunate to share his last days doing what he loved, spending time with his granddaughters, great grandchildren, and family.
