In Loving Memory ~
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of David Martin Pauley in Vernon on December 20, 2021. He passed quietly in hospice with his family at his side and after a courageous yearlong battle with cancer.
David was born in Shaunavon, Saskatchewan and moved to Vancouver when he was 14. He is a graduate of David Thompson High School and he worked for CT&S, BC Tel, and later Telus, retiring after a wonderful career that saw him explore British Columbia, retiring in 1999 at 55 years old.
David was predeceased by his father (Sandford) and mother (Velma) and two brothers, (Randy and Al.) He was the eldest of 5 children.
He is survived by his loving wife Debby of 49 years and three sons whom he was very proud of, Marty (Angela), Chris (Jan) and Michael. He also leaves behind two sisters Carol (Paul) and Susan (Keith).
David was a fun-loving man who embraced life. He loved travel, exploring different corners of BC, fishing, and camping. He was incredibly talented; he loved woodworking and was always building something for someone. If he wasn't woodworking, he would be working on fixing someone's car or truck, renovating his home, and always willing to lend a hand to whomever needed it. David loved people and talked to everyone he met.
There will be a celebration of life in the spring at his favourite camping spot.
In lieu of flowers please donate to cancer research and many thanks to thanks to all the doctors and nurses who looked after him. He was loved and will be deeply missed.
