Dawn Jamieson died peacefully at home in Armstrong on Friday, May 3 with her husband and daughter by her side. She is survived by her husband Jack, son JJ, daughter Jodi van der Meer (Dirk) and treasured grand-daughters Aleen and Chloe.
Dawn was very involved in her community. She was a dedicated teacher and a lifelong learner, always doing whatever she could to support students. In later years she worked in the district office as a school psychologist. She was a board member of Armstrong Abbeyfield House, a Rotarian, a Probus member, a member of the historical society and a volunteer on various local committees. Dawn and Jack were both recognized as Citizens of the Year in 2006 for their contributions to their community.
A service of remembrance will be held on Friday Friday, May 10 at 2:00 pm in St. James Anglican Church hall in Armstrong. Expressions of sympathy may be forwarded to the family at www.MyAlternatives.ca.
