She is survived by her husband William James and son Ryan James; her parents, Norman and Darlaine Andersen of Salmon Arm, B.C.; her siblings, Brian (Annette) Andersen of Leduc, Alberta, Michael (Zenie) Andersen of Salmon Arm, B.C. and Cheryl (Bill) Adam of Prince George, B.C.; one niece, Rachel Andersen; three nephews, Derek Andersen, Bryan Adam and Colton Adam; and numerous extended family members.

Denise is a mother, wife, daughter, sister and aunt whose sheer determination kept her fighting with incredible grace while inspiring and touching the lives of everyone she met. Even though her new lungs did not come, she never lost hope.
