We have to say goodbye to our very beloved Dennis, known also by many as "Denny" who passed away peacefully in Vernon Jubilee Hospital at the age of 77. Dennis was born in St. Paul, Alberta to parents Eugene and Elizabeth. He graduated from UBC Medical School in 1969 and was a General Practitioner in Armstrong for 34 years, from 1974 through 2007 and was known for being a kind doctor and as someone who cared deeply for his patients. His bedside manner and general sense of humor are remembered fondly.
His passion for fishing and hunting took him all over BC. For the last few summers, Dennis and his wife Pam lived in their RV at Monte Lake resort and Dennis was fishing every chance he could. He will be missed by his lake friends, his community friends as well as many friends he had made over the years.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife Pamela, his sons Jason, Ryan, Warren (Jody) and his daughter Maria. Dennis is also survived by his brothers Roland and Alvin, his sisters Celine and Marie, his sister-in-law Margaret, and his first wife, Jacquie Rein. Dennis is also survived by eleven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A lakeside service for family will be held in the summer.
A special thank you to Dr. Chan and all the staff on the second floor at Vernon Jubilee Hospital.
Online messages can be shared with the family at Dignity Memorial.
In lieu of flowers please feel free to make a donation in the name of Dennis to the Canada Cancer Foundation.
