DENNIS MYERS passed away at his home on October 5, 2004 after a long fight with cancer, at the age of 73. Born in Yorkshire, England, Dennis came to Canada with his wife Betty in 1957 and resided in Calgary until 1980, when he moved to the Vernon area. Dennis was well known and respected as a dedicated building contractor, an enthusiastic square and round dancer, and an avid winemaker. He was a good man, a good father, and a good husband. Words cannot express how much he will be missed. He is lovingly remembered by Betty, his wife of 52 years (proof that everlasting Love still exists in this day and age), sons Chris of Vernon and Glenn (Susan) of Calgary and grandchildren Mitchell and Mason. Honouring his wishes, there will be no service held. Friends wishing to do so may make donations in memory of Dennis (and Penny/Misty) to the Vernon SPCA. Cremation arrangements were made at the Vernon Funeral Home. A very special thank you to the angels that we couldn’t see or hear (but knew were there) and the truly amazing Community Home Care nurses Trudy and Barb who are also angels in their own right. The world will miss Dennis’s smile and humour. Love each other with all your heart – you never know when the time will come.
