MR. DONALD WESLEY DANBROOK passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 13, 2004, at Enderby with his loving family at his side. Aged 88 years. Donald will be sadly missed by sons Ross (Marie) and Garnet all of Enderby; daughters Donna (Norman) Madill of Calgary and Jane Danbrook of Enderby; six grandchildren Ryan and Craig Madill of Calgary, Raquel Danbrook, Scott, Nathan and Greggory Barry all of Enderby; brothers Ivan (Bertha) of Enderby, Stanley of Prince Albert, Sask. and Glenn (Pat) of Victoria; sister-in-law Mary Nickel, brothers-in-law Frank Nickel and Henry Epp, many nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by wife Margaret in 2001, sister-in-law Brittie Danbrook in Sept. 2003, parents Harold and Ethel. Donald and Margaret were married in 1942 and lived in Langham and Saskatoon, Sask. before moving to Enderby in 1957. Don was a “jack-of-all-trades” working at BJ Carney Pole Yard and Malpass Sawmill in Enderby, Noca Dairy in Armstrong, and as school custodian at MV Beattie and AL Fortune schools for 20 years before retiring in 1980. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, carpentry, singing, watching hockey, farming and loved animals. A Service of Remembrance will be held 11:00 a.m., Monday, January 19, 2004, at St. Andrew’s United Church, Enderby. Reverend Ken Jones officiating. Inurnment in Cliffside Cemetery.
