We regret to announce the death at Hospice House in Vernon on August 17, 2004 of DONALD HARROP at the age of 83 years. Don was born in Spallumcheen and raised in the Armstrong and Vernon areas. He was a veteran, serving overseas during World War Two with the B.C. Regiment. He has been a longtime member of the B.C.D. Association. Don will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife of 57 years, Dorothy (nee Baumbrough) and two daughters: Lynne (Bud) Wawryniuk of Vernon and Anne (Alex) Morrow of Fleming, Saskatchewan. Don was predeceased by his oldest daughter, Karen and sister, Nellie Beyers. He is survived by two grandsons: Shane and Neil Morrow; brothers Art (Marie) and Jack; sisters: Betty Fisher, Daisy Jensen, Irene Pow, and Grace McMullen; and many nephews, nieces and extended family members. Memorial Services for “Uncle Don” as he was known to many, will be held on Friday, August 20, at 4:00 PM, at All Saints’ Anglican Church, 3205-27 St., Vernon, with the Reverend Jane Moorehouse-Bourcet officiating. In lieu of flowers, friends wishing to do so may make donations in memory of Don to either Hospice House, 3506-27 Ave., Vernon, V1T 1S4; or Special Olympics, 2303-21 St., Vernon, V1T 4G3.
